Get a Slack message for every new PDF
Add a Slack incoming webhook to a template, and DocSpring posts to your channel each time that template generates a PDF. Your team sees new documents as they arrive, without checking DocSpring.
What you can do with Slack
In your channel
- A message for every PDF
- Each PDF the template generates posts a message, whether it came from the API, an integration, or an online form.
- Links to the PDF
- Each message links to the PDF and to its submission in DocSpring.
- A channel for each template
- Give each template its own webhook to send its PDFs to the team that handles them.
Set up the Slack integration
- In Slack, create an app with an incoming webhook for the channel you want to notify, and copy the webhook URL.
- In DocSpring, open your template's settings and paste the URL as its Slack webhook URL.
- Save the settings. From then on, every live PDF the template generates posts a message to the channel.
Example workflows
Online form submissions
When someone fills in your template's online form, your team gets a message with a link to the finished PDF.
Signed documents
Hear as soon as everyone has signed and the final PDF is ready, without checking DocSpring.
Documents for each team
Send onboarding forms to your HR channel and invoices to finance, with a webhook on each template.
