Fill PDFs and collect signatures in Make

The DocSpring app adds PDF generation, e-signatures and template management to your Make scenarios. Fill a PDF with data from any app Make connects to, send it for signature, and pass the finished document to the next module.

What you can do with Make

Actions

Generate a PDF
Fill a template with data from earlier modules and get a link to the finished PDF. A batch makes up to 50 at once.
Check data for a template
Check your data against a template's fields before you generate anything.
Combine PDFs
Merge generated PDFs, templates, uploaded files, and files from a URL into one document.
Submissions
Look up a PDF by its ID, find recent PDFs, make an image of each page, or expire a PDF's data.
Create a signature request
Send a form for people to check their details and sign, and get a signing link for each person.
Create a signing link
Get a fresh signing link for an existing signature request.

Templates and more

Templates and fields
Find templates, or create one from a PDF (with AI field detection) or from HTML. Replace a template's PDF, edit its fields, and publish new versions.
Folders
Copy and move templates, and create folders to organize them.
Make an API call
Call any other DocSpring API endpoint with your DocSpring connection.

Trigger

Watch events is instant. When you add a webhook to the trigger, Make sets it up in DocSpring, and deleting the webhook in Make removes it.

Watch events
Start a scenario when something happens to a PDF, signature request, combined PDF, batch, template, uploaded file, or folder. Choose the events, live or test, and optionally the templates to watch.
  1. Create an API token in your DocSpring account.
  2. Open the invite link and install the DocSpring app in your Make organization.
  3. Add a DocSpring module to a scenario and create a connection with your region and the API token's ID and secret.
  4. Choose a template and map its fields to data from earlier modules.
  5. Generate test PDFs while you build. Test PDFs are free and watermarked.

Example workflows

Documents from your apps

When a deal closes in your CRM or someone submits a form, fill the matching PDF and email it to your team.

Signing workflows

Create a signature request, send each signing link by email, and carry on when the document is signed.

PDFs from a spreadsheet

On a schedule, read new rows from a spreadsheet and generate a PDF for each one, up to 50 in a single batch.
