Save every generated PDF to Google Cloud Storage
DocSpring's S3 integration works with Google Cloud Storage through its XML API. Every PDF it generates is copied into your bucket, next to the rest of your Google Cloud data.
What you can do with Google Cloud Storage
Uploads
- Every PDF, automatically
- Each PDF is uploaded as soon as it's generated, including combined PDFs.
- Your own file paths
- Build each path from the template, the date, and your own metadata, for example a folder for each client.
- Choose which PDFs
- Upload live PDFs, test PDFs or both, and limit uploads to specific API tokens.
Access and status
- An HMAC key
- Connect with an HMAC key for a service account with the Storage Object User role on your bucket.
- Upload status and alerts
- Each PDF shows whether its upload is done or failed, and DocSpring emails you if uploads keep failing.
Set up the Google Cloud Storage integration
Read the setup guide- In Google Cloud, create an HMAC key for a service account with the Storage Object User role on your bucket.
- In DocSpring, open Integrations, choose Set up Google Cloud Storage, and enter the endpoint (https://storage.googleapis.com), your bucket's name and the HMAC key.
- Set the file path and choose which PDFs to upload.
- Generate a PDF and check that it appears in your bucket.
Example workflows
An archive you control
Keep every generated and signed document in your Google Cloud project, under your own retention rules.
Start your own processing
Run a Cloud Run function when a new PDF arrives, to index it, notify someone, or start a workflow.
Analysis next to your data
Keep documents in the same project as the BigQuery and Vertex AI work that uses them.
