Page Designer
The Page Designer is a new kind of template: design a PDF in your browser, with no document to start from. Place text, images, tables, QR codes and barcodes on the page, put your data where it goes, and send JSON to get back the PDF.

- Fields from your data. Type
{{in a text box or table cell to insert a value, with filters for dates, numbers and currencies. DocSpring adds a field for each value you use. - Tables and repeating sections add a row or a block for each item in a list, and carry on over the next page.
- QR codes, barcodes and images from your data, and images you upload, such as your logo.
- Headers, footers and page numbers on every page, and conditions that show a section only when it applies.
- HTML boxes for anything else: your own HTML and SCSS, with your data, in a box on the page.
- API v2 and the MCP server create and update page designs from their layout, a JSON document with a published schema, so an AI assistant can design one for you.

A PDF from a page design costs the same as a PDF from an HTML template. To start one, click Create Template, then Page Designer. The Page Designer guide explains the rest.
