Fill Form Library Forms in Your Own Account

You can now fill the forms in the DocSpring Form Library from your own app, with your own API token. The submissions and their PDFs go into your account, and we keep the forms up to date.

Browse the library

docspring.com/forms lists every form in the library, from tax and insurance forms to leases and court forms. Search by name or form number, or filter by category or industry. Each form has its own page, where you can fill it out online, try it in the template editor or copy an API example. To open the library from DocSpring, click Form Library in the sidebar.

Fill a form from your app

Each form's page shows its template ID. Send submissions to that template ID with one of your API tokens, the same way you fill your own templates. Batch requests and data requests work too.

  • The submissions and their PDFs are in your account, and count toward your usage like your other PDFs. The form doesn't count toward your plan's template limit.
  • Your account's webhooks and storage integrations get them, except the ones limited to some of your templates or folders. They expire as your account's default template settings say.
  • When we publish a new version of a form, your requests use it. We highly recommend sending the version parameter with your API requests. Set it to the form's current published version, so that nothing breaks when we publish a new version.

Change a form

To move fields, add your own or use your own settings, open the form in the template editor and click Copy to account. The copy is your own template, and we don't update it. If you find a problem with one of our forms, click Send feedback in the editor.

Upload a form we already have

When you upload a PDF on the Create Template page, we check whether it's one of the forms in our library. If it is, we'll recommend using that library template with your own API token, or you can copy it to your account with its fields already set up. If our version differs from your PDF (we may have removed the instructions pages, for example), we list the changes, and you can still use your own PDF.

The form library is currently only available to accounts in our US region.
