Agent Skills and Plugin

DocSpring’s agent skills teach an AI agent how to work with DocSpring: which tools to use for a task, in what order, and the rules that keep your account safe, such as making test PDFs and publishing a template only when you agree. The DocSpring plugin installs the skills together with DocSpring’s MCP server, so the agent can use them in your account. The skills are open source: github.com/DocSpring/skills.

SkillWhat it does
docspringConnects to DocSpring, finds and fills your templates, makes test PDFs, and picks the right skill below
docspring-pdf-templatesTurns a PDF form into a template: AI field detection, checking fields against the pages, versions
docspring-html-templatesDesigns and fixes HTML/CSS templates, rendering a test PDF after each change to check the pages
docspring-api-integrationWrites app code with DocSpring’s API clients: typed models, generating PDFs, webhooks, errors
docspring-signature-requestsSends templates for signature, makes signing links and embeds signing in your app
docspring-embedded-formsEmbeds DocSpring forms and the template editor in your web app

The plugin adds the skills and the MCP server in one step.

Terminal window
claude plugin marketplace add DocSpring/skills
claude plugin install docspring@docspring
Terminal window
codex plugin marketplace add DocSpring/skills
codex plugin add docspring@docspring

In a Copilot CLI session or VS Code’s chat:

/plugin marketplace add DocSpring/skills
/plugin install docspring@docspring
Terminal window
gemini extensions install https://github.com/DocSpring/skills

The plugin lists both of DocSpring’s MCP servers: docspring for accounts in the US and docspring-eu for accounts in the EU. Sign in to the one for your account’s region (for example, select it in Claude Code’s /mcp) and leave the other one disconnected. When you sign in, you choose what the agent can do: see Access.

The skills CLI installs the skills into Cursor, Windsurf, OpenCode and about 80 other agents:

Terminal window
npx skills add DocSpring/skills

It installs the skills from docspring.com too: npx skills add https://docspring.com. Then connect the MCP server to your agent, or give the agent an API token so that it can call the REST API instead.
